Plumbing & Fixtures
Faucet replacement and repair of minor plumbing leaks — handled with real practical knowledge of residential systems.
Electrical & Lighting
Light fixture and ceiling fan installation, TV mounting, and smoke detector installation and battery replacement.
Installation & Assembly
Shelving, blinds, pictures, and furniture assembly — the projects that pile up on a to-do list until someone reliable shows up.
General Home Maintenance
Air filter replacement, paint touch-ups, and minor home repairs to keep a property in good shape year-round.
Punch-List Work
The lingering list of small repairs other contractors skip. Nothing's too minor to do well.
Office & Apartment Maintenance
Ongoing maintenance and turnover repairs for property managers and office spaces, with the same craftsmanship as a homeowner call.
The Man Behind the Name
Gary Plank
The Plank Standard isn't a slogan — it's a last name and a reputation. Gary Plank has worked for years as a Residential Construction Superintendent, overseeing home construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, and solving problems on the job site every day.
He's also worked for companies performing electrical and plumbing work — practical, hands-on experience that means he actually understands the systems behind the walls, not just the finish work in front of them. That combination is rare, and it's why The Plank Standard can take on everything from a leaky faucet to a full apartment turnover with the same confidence.
Serving the Chattanooga metro, North Georgia, Hamilton County, and Bradley County.
The Plank Standard
What the name means
Quality Work
Materials and methods chosen because they hold up — not because they're the cheapest way through an estimate. Every cut, joint, and finish done like it's going in Gary's own house.
Honest Service
Straight answers on scope, timeline, and cost before the work starts. If something changes mid-project, you hear it from us first — with options, not excuses.
Done Right
The job isn't finished when it looks finished. It's finished when it's built to code, cleaned up, and walked through together — and you'd hire us again tomorrow.
